HOW DOES THIS WORK?
This mindful approach of penetrating through layers of skin, muscle and scar tissue to massage deeply into your high tension areas, helps release the myofascial tissue ( the fibrous connective tissue that is present throughout our entire body), not just the muscles. It’s through this connective tissue that energy flows and stress and tensions can create blockages, stiffness and pain. Often through emotional traumas, physical injuries, overuse of muscles, lack of movement and just daily life stress, this membrane can hold tensions and create scar tissue, blocking our vital energy and suppressing our immune system.

In addition to being a certified yoga teacher, meditation facilitator, and sound therapist, Ann has been trained in the following ‘Yoga Tune-up’ courses to offer this workshop to you!

5-reasons-to-join-the-30-day-yoga-challenge The 30 Day Yoga Challenge

November 1-30, 2017

Challenge begins officially begins Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 12am and ends Thursday, November 30 at 11pm.

Tons of classes, draw prizes and special incentives sprinkled throughout the Challenge.

The Challenge entails a 7 day a week commitment to a half hour of practice a day, in studio, at home, from other studios you like to play in or anywhere in the world really!

There is one day of rest a week where you still have a half hour commitment to your practice but can take a break from your mat to do something that makes your heart sing. Meditate, read an inspiring book, go dancing, have a bubble bath or share some time with someone you love. Your day of rest does NOT include sitting on the couch with a bag of potato chips watching your fave Netflix show 😉

There will be a couple of special workshop style classes again this year INCLUDED in the cost of the challenge for those participating.

Foster perseverance and dedication in your practice with the support of your community. Gear up for what can often be a tressful time of year with strength, balance and flexibility.

Deepening Your Personal Practice with christie

Saturday, November 18, 1-3pm

With over 20 years experience on the mat as a yoga practitioner and over 18 years teaching christie will lead you through this educational and enlightening workshop.
For the more experienced yogi or yogi newer to the practice wanting a deeper understanding of the finer details of the practice and how to begin to incorporate them into your own home or studio practice.
This workshop goes beyond basic asana, (physical postures) and takes you for an exploration of some of the deeper elements of yoga including an introduction to Pranayama ( breath and energetic work), Mudra (gestures) and Bandha (energetic locks).
There will be a short guided practice to begin the workshop followed by a more formal lecture and opportunity for Q&A.
Bring your mat and journal or notebook. Yogi tea will be provided after practice 🙂

Winter Solstice Yoga Mala

Thursday, December 21, 2017, 7pm-9:30pm

*There will be no regularly scheduled classes this evening in lieu of The Mala

A Yoga Mala is a practice of 108 sun salutations traditionally done at the changing of the seasons. A Yoga Mala is a moving meditation, an opportunity to let go of anything that no longer serves you and to set new intentions to guide you in the season coming.
A strong, powerful flow practice, christie will lead you from the ground up, offering you modifications to support you in your flow.
The intention is to meditate on Peace and Love, meditating on our Mother Earth and opening to the amazing possibilities that await us this winter. A space will be provided for those wishing to take part in the practice as seated meditation practitoners and a special mantra will be offered for reflection and practice.
Refreshments served afterward to revitalize your system and get you ready to move back into the outside world.
