5-reasons-to-join-the-30-day-yoga-challenge

Annual 30 Day Yoga Challenge

November 1-30, 2019

Challenge begins officially begins Friday, November 1, 2019 at 12am and ends Thursday, November 30 at 11pm.
Tons of classes, draw prizes and special incentives sprinkled throughout the Challenge.
The Challenge entails a 7 day a week commitment to a half hour of practice a day, in studio, at home, from other studios you like to play in or anywhere in the world really!
There is one day of rest a week where you still have a half hour commitment to your practice but can take a break from your mat to do something that makes your heart sing. Meditate, read an inspiring book, go dancing, have a bubble bath or share some time with someone you love. Your day of rest does NOT include sitting on the couch with a bag of potato chips watching your fave Netflix show 😉
There are a couple of special workshop style classes again this year INCLUDED in the cost of the challenge for those participating. Workshops include “Learn to Sit and Be Still-Meditation workshop with christie on Saturday, Nov.9, 1-3pm and ” Restorative Bliss” with Jenny and christie on Saturday, Nov.30, 1-2:45pm.
Closing circle will be Saturday, Nov. 30 at 3pm with a sharing circle and final prizes.
Foster perseverance and dedication in your practice with the support of your community. Gear up for what can often be a stressful time of year with strength, balance and flexibility.
Want to know if yoga will change you? Wanting to build strength, focus on flexibility or go deeper in your practice in other directions? Commit to it, stick to it and reap the rewards.

Restorative Bliss

with Jenny and christie

Saturday, Nov. 30, 1-2:45pm

Sometimes it is important to just be. Not fixing , changing or bettering anything but simply relaxing into yourself and knowing that you are are already the perfect expression of you, just as you are.

Join Christie and Jenny for an afternoon of bliss.  A decadent practice that will move from gentle stretches to release deeply held tension through a series of well-supported restorative postures to center breath and body while encouraging deep relaxation all wrapped up in an extended savasana including head, neck and shoulder massage.  Hands-on assists will be offered throughout the class to those who wish to enhance their practice.

Restorative Bliss is open to all and encouraged for every level of experience and anyone needing a moment to stop and catch their breath.

Winter Solstice Yoga Mala

Saturday, December 21, 7pm

Practice by candlelight to the rhythms of sound and breath.
Solstice invites us to shed the darkness of winter and open to the light returning.
It is a promise of new beginnings.
The intention is to meditate on Peace and Love, meditating on our Mother Earth and opening to the amazing possibilities that await us this winter. A space is prepared for those wishing to take part in the practice as seated meditation practitioners and a special mantra will be offered for reflection and practice.
Those willing and able are invited to practice 108 sun salutations traditionally done at the changing of the seasons. A Yoga Mala is a moving meditation, an opportunity to let go of anything that no longer serves you and to set new intentions to guide you in the season coming.
A strong, powerful flow practice, christie will lead you from the ground up, offering you modifications to support you in your flow.
Refreshments served afterward to revitalize your system and get you ready to move back into the outside world.
