A Christmas to Remember

with guest teacher Mandy Wood

Friday, December 20, 7-9pm

Those who have passed, never truly leave us.

Christmas is a time to gather in community to honour the stories of the past and rekindle hope for the future.

For many of us our losses and distance from those we love can make this time of year especially difficult.

When community gathers together in love, our load becomes lighter and our invisible connection to those we love becomes stronger.

We invite you to a twisted fish gathering where Mandy Wood will lovingly guide you through a practice of gentle yoga, meditation, chanting, and deep relaxation accompanied by the healing sounds of quartz crystal singing bowls.

When we gather together in community our world becomes a brighter place.

Winter Solstice Yoga Mala

Saturday, December 21, 5 pm

Practice by candlelight to the rhythms of sound and breath.
Solstice invites us to shed the darkness of winter and open to the light returning.
It is a promise of new beginnings.
The intention is to meditate on Peace and Love, meditating on our Mother Earth and opening to the amazing possibilities that await us this winter. A space is prepared for those wishing to take part in the practice as seated meditation practitioners and a special mantra will be offered for reflection and practice.
Those willing and able are invited to practice 108 sun salutations traditionally done at the changing of the seasons. A Yoga Mala is a moving meditation, an opportunity to let go of anything that no longer serves you and to set new intentions to guide you in the season coming.
A strong, powerful flow practice, christie will lead you from the ground up, offering you modifications to support you in your flow.
Refreshments served afterward to revitalize your system and get you ready to move back into the outside world.

Dr. Wright’s Clearing Meditation Technique

with christie

Sat. Dec.28 1-2pm

Clear the old year and make way for 2020!
Dr. Wright brought this spiritual cleansing technique back with him from Burma where he was a cultural attache.
The principle technique he learned and practiced is a variation on what is called the “breath of fire” in the Hatha Yoga tradition. But what Dr. Wright learned is a separate discipline in its own right because it employs a specific combination of breath and focused intentionality to spiritually cleanse the body, section by section.
The rythmic breathing clears the aura almost scientifically. Healing can take place “out of the overflow of spirit”, as Dr. Wright says.
Christie Delahunt was taught this technique by Denise Davis Gains who was taught by Thomas Ashley Ferrand who was taught by Dr. Wright.
All levels, no experience required.
NB SPECIAL NOTE: It is important that there are no outstanding or untreated physical or mental health concerns at the time of engaging in this workshop.

Yoga Detox Flow-New Year Edition

with christie delahunt

Saturday, January 4, 1-3pm

We will be joining forces with the Ivory Fern of Port Dover and beginning practice with a freshly made warming juice concoction to help boost metabolism and heat you up from the inside out. We will end practice with a cooling and restorative tonic designed to rejuice electrolytes, increase detoxification benefits and leave you feeling refreshed!
Ready to hit the restart button and clear your whole system out from a season of over indulging?
This is a strong, sweaty, Vinyasa flow practice to help encourage detoxification on all levels, mind, body and spirit.
As we move into a new season it is an opportunity to clear from our lives that which no longer serves, from food, to habits to limiting beliefs. It provides an opportunity to consciously open to all that we wish to manifest in our lives such as health and happiness.
Some previous yoga experience is recommended. The series is based on Sun Salutations A and B. It is a STRONG practice.
Be sure to nourish and hydrate before the workshop (DO NOT EAT A HEAVY MEAL) and bring water and a TOWEL.
Gratitude for the teachers who have come before: christie has great gratitude, admiration and love for all of her teachers, past and present. Many thanks to Seane Corn for imparting the wisdom and principles of this practice.

Transformational Breath Work Experience

with guest facilitator Jake Breathe

January 11th, 2020, 7-9pm

Join Jake Breathe for this 2-hour powerful breath class all based on relaxing, releasing and receiving! The intention is to let go of what is no longer serving us so that we can make room for NEW. Think of it as weeding your mind-garden before planting seeds for incredible growth!

During our time together, you will be lead through specific breathing techniques into a deep meditative state known as Shuniya, the Zero Point. This is where you are able to tap into your subconscious and literally re-write the programming of the mind. Allow yourself to let go of any limiting beliefs or thought patterns that are no longer helping you succeed!

As you fully relax into yourself and drop into this Zero point, you will be bathed with beautiful tones and frequencies from Crystal bowls, tuning forks and didgeridoo. This beautiful sound therapy aids your body and mind to let go of old holding patterns and recalibrate itself for the NOW. Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki will also be used to help activate and promote energy flow within your nervous system.

Breathwork and Sound Therapy are two of the most powerful healing tools currently available on this natural path of self discovery. Come experience them for yourself!

Facilitator Bio:

Jake Breathe is a Certified Transformational Breath facilitator and Life Advancement Coach. His love and passion for this incredibly powerful breath work started in February 2017 when he attended his first workshop. But after experiencing the immense power and healing abilities that conscious breathing brings, he was instantly hooked and knew this was his calling! Fast forward almost 3 years and he is now running a successful practice, empowering others through coaching and helping to increase consciousness on the Planet! Jake gives many thanks to Conscious Breathing for literally turning his life around. Follow the Detour Workshop

For Movement Educators & Anatomy Enthusiasts

with guest teacher Cecily Milne

Saturday, May 23, 3-6pm

This 3-hour workshop with Cecily will introduce you to what students around the world have experienced
as a revolutionary approach to movement.
Together we’ll explore:
• The role of the nervous system and its role in a mobility-based practice
• The importance of proximal stability and how this concept applies to ALL movement practices – not just
yoga
• The blind spots we all have when it comes to building joint capacity and muscle activation, and how
these blind spots can be transformed into sources of new strength and potential
• Different methods for bringing robusticity into the practice—keeping our hamstrings strong even in
forward bends, our spines comfortable in backbends and our shoulders strong and resilient in inversions
When we move optimally, the benefits are felt not only in our yoga practice but in all of the things we do
on a daily basis. After this workshop, you’ll approach everything from arm balances to grocery carrying
with new awareness and appreciation for what our bodies are capable of.
